Note for ASCS SOD Teams For Plymouth

Attention Teams that attended Plymouth on June 16- Per the change in the ASCS Sprints on Dirt rules for 2012, the 24 drivers that attempted to race Saturday will receive 50 appearance points. The reschedule date of August 18 will be a complete new show with draw for heat lineup to be redone, along with hot laps, heats and rest of the program.

VERY IMPORTANT that you keep your pit bands fron June 16, treat them like cash as they will get you in free for the reschedule date. You forget or lose them you will have to purchase another one, so put them in a safe place and remember to bring them on August 18.

Also the Mt Pleasant race is June 29, there was a mistake on the tracks website listing June 22, It is the 29th followed by Merritt on the 30th. See you all there,




Plymouth Rained Out, Rescheduled for August 18th

The event scheduled for Saturday at Plymouth Speedway was rained out.  The race has been rescheduled for August 18th and Tony Stewart will be present to race at the rain date.




JUNE 16 PLYMOUTH SPEEDWAY RACE INFORMATION

he following is some information regarding the ASCS Sprints on Dirt scheduled at Plymouth Speedway on June 16.

 

The A-Main starting field will consist of 16 cars. The top 12 drivers will be chosen by ASCS passing points rules, with the top eight doing the redraw. Drivers 9-12 will run the Dash to determine starting positions 9-12.

Positions 13-16 will be awarded to the top four finishers of the B-main. The possibility of two b-mains will be considered based on car count.

This is a full ASCS Sprints on Dirt points race.

Lap lengths are the following- Heat races will be 10 laps, the B main will be 15 laps and the A main will be 30 laps.

Plymouth Speedway reserves the right to add a promoter’s option starting position to the A-main.

Rain washes out SOD at Hartford

The Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP event scheduled
for June 1, 2012 at Hartford has been called due to rain. Discussions
for re-scheduling are pending.

The MAHLE/Clevite Short Track Challenge Race at Cherry Speedway is
still on schedule for Saturday June 2nd.

The 2012 season marks the 21st year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing
for the American Sprint Car Series, which brings the best of Sprint
Car racing to dozens of different tracks throughout the nation and
into Canada. Anchored by the Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series presented by
MAVTV, ASCS also consists of eleven different Regions throughout the
nation.
