Plymouth,In.- (May 17, 2014 )- Randy Hannagan came from his 4th place start to win the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP, “Earl Gaerte Classic” 25 lap feature Saturday night at Plymouth Speedway. Hannagan had to fend off hard charging Danny Lasoski after a late caution. The “Earl Gaerte Challenge” which was offered to the pole setter Shawn Dancer was turned down and likewise, the outside front row driver Dennis Yoakam also turned down the $500 offer of starting between 11-20 and winning. An early yellow slowed action when Zane Devault and Linden Jones had trouble in turn four of lap 2. Devault was done for the night. With 5 laps in, Dennis Yoakam was out front with Shawn Dancer looking strong in 2nd with Hannagan and Lasoski close behind. Greg Dalman had a good run come to an end on lap 8 when he had trouble in turn three and was finished for the night. Now as the green flew again Lasoski had moved from 7th to fourth with Dustin Daggett in fifth as Hannagan and team mate Yoakam raced side by side for the lead with Hannagan prevailing on lap 12. With 15 circuits in the books, Hannagan led Yoakam, Dancer, Lasoski and Daggett.

Lasoski grabbed 2nd from Yoakam on lap 19 but Hannagan was now extending his lead. A late  caution with 2 laps remaining put Lasoski right on Hannagans bumper but the #22h of Hannagan was not to be denied as Lasoski finished 2nd with Yoakam, Dancer and Daggett following.

Heats were won by Greg Dalman, Randy Hannagan and Ryan Ruhl with Chase Ridenour taking the dash.

Dalman Drives to Tri-City Victory

051614_4119 copyAuburn, MI — (May 16, 2014) – Gregg Dalman won the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP feature Friday night at the Tri-City Motor Speedway. Dalman took the lead from Dustin Daggett on the second lap and held on through a mid-race restart to take the victory. The victory was Dalman’s 12th career SOD victory driving his own Kistler powered Maxim chassis.

Daggett got the jump on the initial start and led lap one, but Dalman used the low side of the race track to his advantage to take the lead on lap two. From there Dalman was able to race through slower traffic and open up a lead. After a caution on lap 15 allowed the field to close, Dalman was up to the challenge and pulled away for the victory. Ohio driver Shawn Dancer moved into the running up spot with Daggett filling out the podium. Ryan Ruhl and Brett Mann rounded out the top five.

The Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP series continues Saturday night at the Plymouth Speedway for the Earl Gaerte Classic.

Daggett Wins Season Opening Feature at Crystal

daggettwinBy T.J. Buffenbarger

Crystal, MI – (April 26, 2014) – Dustin Daggett survived multiple caution and red flags along with a torrid battle for the lead to win the season opening event for the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP Saturday at Crystal Motor Speedway. Daggett avoided an opening lap skirmish, chasing Ryan Ruhl down through traffic to take the lead.

Chase Ridenour and Shawn Dancer started on the front row for the 25-lap main event. During the initial attempt to start the race Ridenour spun in front of the field and collected Kyle Sauder, Brad Lamberson, John Gall, and Andy Chehowski with Sauder getting upside down. Sauder, Gall, and Chehowski were abl to make the call for the restart. Under red flag conditions Brett Mann was disqualified from competition when his crew worked on the car while it was positioned on the racing surface.

This moved Ruhl up to the pole with Dancer alongside. At the start it was Doug Zimmerman racing into the lead, but could not hold his momentum going into turn three and slid off the race track to bring out another caution flag. Zimmerman restarted at the tail of the field. Another attempt at a complete restart saw Andy Chehowski flip end over end down the backstretch to bring out another red flag. Chehowski emerged from his car uninjured.

The fourth attempt to start the feature brought a single file restart and Ruhl take the lead with Dancer and Daggett in pursuit. Daggett took second position away from Dancer on lap four and worked on chasing down Ruhl for the lead. Ruhl however was working lapped traffic to perfection and was able to maintain his advantage over Daggett until getting picked by Gavin Hunyady. Daggett was able to dive under Ruhl, but could not take the lead. Ruhl then maneuvered to the bottom coming off turn for to pass Hunyady while Daggett was unable to clear him. While this allowed Ruhl to open up some breathing room, it was short lived as Ruhl and Daggett raced three wide through slower traffic with Daggett taking the lead.

Ruhl remained in close pursuit until the caution appeared for Dancer sliding off the track in turn four with only three laps to go. Even with the lapped cars being sent around to the tail of the field Daggett was able to pull away from Ruhl to take the victory. Ruhl, Sauder, Gregg Dalman, and Jason Blonde rounded out the top five.

Dalman, Zimmerman, Daggett, and Dancer won the four qualifying heat races, Mann won the dash, and Troy Chehowski won the B-Main event.
