Horstman wins at Montpelier

Montpelier, IN — (June 6, 2015) — Jared Horstman won Saturday night’s Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP feature event Saturday night at the Montpelier Motor Speedway. The win was Horstman’s second victory of the weekend following his win on Friday night at Limaland Motorsports Park in National Racing Alliance competition.

Horstman started on the front row and led every lap of the 25-lap feature that was only slowed once for a lap 14 caution. Outside front row starter Max Stambaugh held onto second until the final lap when Dustin Daggett slide by for the runner up spot. Stambaugh held on for third while Hud Horton and Randy Hannagan rounded out the top five.

Ruhl wins thriller at Tri-City

Auburn, MI – (June 5, 2015) – Ryan Ruhl won a thrilling Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP feature Friday night at the Tri-City Motor Speedway. Ruhl ran down early leader Gregg Dalman and then swapped the lead back and forth with Dustin Daggett before motoring away the final half of the event. The win was Ruhl’s third SOD victory of the 2015 season.

Mark Aldrich and Dalman started on the front row for the 25-lap feature with Dalman taking the lead. Ruhl quickly moved up sixth starting spot to take the lead from Dalman on lap seven. Soon though Ruhl was under siege from Daggett in pursuit of his 100th SOD feature victory. Daggett took the lead on lap 11, but Ruhl fought back one lap later to take the top spot back by inches just as a caution appeared for debris.

Following the caution Ruhl pulled away for the victory over Daggett, Dalman, Kyle Pitts, and Chase Ridenour. Heat races were won by Daggett, Aldrich, and Ruhl. During the second heat race Robert Huisken had his 2015 season get off to a rough start turning over hard. Huisken was uninjured.

The Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP series continues tomorrow night at the Montpelier Motor Speedway squaring off against the National Racing Alliance.

Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP Ready for Doubleheader this Weekend

The Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP series will visit two different states for a doubleheader this weekend.

Friday, June 5th, is the first of two events scheduled this season at Steve Puvalowski’s Tri-City Motor Speedway.  The racy 3/8 mile track in Auburn, Michigan has seen a number of different drivers take the checkered flags over the past few years including Dustin Daggett, Gregg Dalman, Ryan Grubaugh, Dain Naida and Tony Stewart.  The Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP drivers will also compete in the “Beat the Track Record” qualifying session.  The current Sprints on Dirt track record is 11.136 seconds, average 114.4 MPH, which was set on 5/17/2013 by Steve Irwin.

On Saturday, June 6th, the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP will head south to do battle with the K&L Ready Mix NRA Sprint Invaders at Montpelier Speedway.  The co-sanctioned Border War 2 event will feature a truly epic battle drawing Ohio’s and Michigan’s finest winged sprint car drivers to the Indiana ¼ mile bullring.  The 2014 Border War saw Ohio outlaw, Greg Wilson, picking up the feature win from the 12th start position.

The 36th season of competition for the winged sprint car series has started out strong in 2015 with five different drivers picking up wins in six completed events to-date.  For more information, please go to the official series website, www.sprintsondirt.com.

Hartford, MI – (May 28, 2015) — Dustin Daggett is on the verge of making history again on Friday with the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP.  After securing the most feature wins and championships in series history Daggett will aim for his 100th feature victory in SOD competition on Friday at Hartford Speedway.

Daggett scored his 99th career SOD victory on Sunday night at Eldora Speedway in dominating fashion during a co-sanctioned event with the National Racing Alliance.   17 of Daggett’s victories with the Sprints on Dirt have come at Hartford with the most recent on August 29th of last year.   In addition to his 17 wins with SOD Daggett also has a win with the Interstate Racing Association in 2010 and with the All Star Circuit of Champions in 2004.

Daggett Already the winningest driver in the 35 years of SOD Daggett will be the first driver to reach the 100 win mark.   While Friday gives Daggett the opportunity to make history he will have to face a formidable group of drivers that have provided some stout competition early on in the 2015 season.  Ryan Ruhl has won two of the last three Hartford features and will look to prolong Daggett’s quest to 100 victories along with former Hartford track champion Brett Mann and former SOD champion Gregg Dalman.  Along with the veterans young up and coming drivers Kyle Pitts, Brad Lamberson, and Chase Ridenour have shown speed early in the season and will be looking for their first career SOD victories.

Racing is slated to start at 8:00 p.m. with a special “fan zone” in the pit area for race fans from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m.
