Ohsweken, ON – (Friday September 17th, 2010) – Glenn Styres and Dustin Daggett were victorious on Saturday night during the Twin-15’s during the Night Before the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals at Ohsweken Speedway. By virtue of winning the features both Styres and Daggett are guaranteed a starting spot in Saturday’s $10,000 to win 35-lap Canadian Nationals Finale.

“Everyone comes to this race with new motors, new cars, and we were finally in the position to do that,” said Styres. “I was able to flat foot it all the way around. Everything worked out.”

Styres and Daggett both started outside of the front row of their respective feature races. Styres held off Jessica Zemken during a mid-race restart while Daggett put on a dominating performance through slower traffic to top Shane Stewart in his 15-lap feature.

“The car was perfect tonight,” said Daggett. “The track was in great shape and my crew did a great job getting the car right, even after we broke a rear end after the heat race.”

Jason Solwold, Jason Barney, Zemken, Justin Barger, Darren Long, and Daggett won the six qualifying heat race events.

Hartford, MI. – (Friday September 10th, 2010) –
“That was not easy,” said Daggett in victory lane. “Gregg (Dalman) was running well, and so was Brett (Mann). “We had a bit of an oil leak after the dash, but my crew did a great job getting the car ready for the feature.”

Mann and Dalman started on the front row for the 25-lap King of Michigan feature. Dalman took the lead with Mann and Chad Blonde in pursuit. Daggett quickly moved up to fourth and joined the lead trio. After disposing of Blonde and Mann with impressive passes while negotiating slower traffic, Daggett slowly began to gain ground on Dalman.

With 13 laps complete the red flag appeared when Robert Huisken did a pirouette in turn three, collecting Joe Bares and Jared Horstman. Bares and Huisken were able to rejoin the field while Horstman’s car returned to the pit area on a flatbed.

Daggett dove under Dalman in turn one after the restart and took the lead. Mann disposed of Dalman for second and kept pace with Daggett through lapped traffic. On two different occasions Mann closed in on Daggett while encountering slower cars, but Daggett escaped each time before Mann could strike.

Daggett motored to the win over Mann, Dalman, Grubaugh, and Aaron Shaffer.

Daggett also collected wins during his heat race and the fast car dash. Grubaugh and Mann also collected heat race victories.

TULSA, Okla. (September 7, 2010) – With the season winding down the Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP championship race is close with Ryan Grubaugh holding a 13 point advantage over second place Gregg Dalman going into the 11th annual King of Michigan event at Hartford Motor Speedway in Hartford, Michigan.

Both Grubaugh and Dalman are looking to win their very first ASCS SOD point championship.

Defending King of Michigan champion Dustin Daggett also looks to add another crown to his resume. Daggett has worn the crown five times during his career. Dalman, Grubaugh, and a host of other drivers are seeking their first crown.

The Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP is in its 31st season of competition. Twenty-seven races are on the calendar scheduled throughout Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Ontario.

The American Sprint Car Series, in its 19th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing events, brings the best of Sprint Car racing to nearly 100 different tracks throughout 25 states and Canada in 2010. Anchored by the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series, ASCS also consists of several different regions throughout the nation.
